Toronto outfit Romes returned Friday with their new song "Choker."

It finds the duo of Jacob Bitove and Nick Bitove really leaning into their rock inclinations offering another gravelly single following their 2022 single "We Need Some Help" and their 2021 project My Demons Are Still My Best Friends.

The duo first teased the new track late last month before then playing it live for those in attendance at their Toronto show ahead of the song's release.

"If you’ve ever felt emotionally strangled, trapped inside your own mind, or felt like there’s no way out, just know that someone else is fighting through it too," the pair said in a note accompanying the song's arrival. "You’re not alone."

The new music comes as the band recently confirmed they've joined the SXSW music lineup in Austin.
