Zachary Bailey

On Tuesday, grandson returned with his new song "Eulogy."

The moody, defiant new track is out today on Fueled By Ramen. It's his first new music since 2021., and it finds the artist musing about his anxiety, and other outside factors affecting the state of the world. According to grandson, the song was written during a bad mushrooms trip last summer, which led to his scrapping the album he had been working on and finally admitting to his inner circle he had been struggling with thoughts of self-harm.

"It’s easy to feel nihilistic or cynical about the future," says grandson. "And there’s a strange comfort in indulging in the depressing absurdity of day to day life with the only people in the world that understand you.”

grandson is hitting the road this spring with a North American tour starting in San Diego.

Check out the new song now (updated with video on March 3).
