Today is Friday, and that means we've got new music from Colony House! Their new album The Cannonballers just dropped.

The trio, playfully self-described as "landlocked surf rock," has shared their new, 11-track record, which is out now on Roon Records. The album is said to be reflective of the band's origins, where they come from and how it influenced them over these last few years.

“It’s too easy getting sucked into the grind of everyday life… the hustle and the hurry we all willingly subject ourselves to,” said the band's Caleb Chapman of the standout "Would Ya Could Ya," which they shared last month ahead of the album itself. “‘Would Ya Could Ya’ is about breaking the mold. At surface level, it’s a ‘let’s get outta here’ open road, never look back type of cruiser, but beneath the surface, I think it recognizes that we are often the obstacle standing in our own way and that it’s up to us to make the next move.”

Said Chapman of the album: “In short, Tennessee was the inspiration for this project. We got to see the seasons change and experience our home again for the first time in a long time. I think I was falling back in love with Tennessee, and I started revisiting some old memories and old relationships in my head that pertained to certain geographical locations as well as just emotional places I had spent my most formative years.”

The band isn't wasting any time either. After today's album release, they're hitting the road next week, fittingly kicking off at Nashville's Ryman Auditorium.
