The Weeknd's new song "Nothing Is Lost (You Give Me Strength)" has arrived.

On Thursday, as promised, the song was released ahead of James Cameron's new movie Avatar: The Way of Water, the much-hyped followup to the 2009 predecessor Avatar, which is out Friday (Dec. 16).

The single was first teased earlier this month and subsequently confirmed last week as part of a new teaser trailer for the film. The song was written by The Weeknd and produced by Swedish House Mafia and Simon Franglen, the latter of whom is also the composer for the film's score.

This is certainly a nice way for The Weeknd to cap off a year which opened in January with his new album Dawn FM. He has also previously contributed music to such blockbuster films as 2014's Fifty Shades of Grey ("Earned It") and 2018's Black Panther ("Pray for Me").
