Soaring back into the scene with his amalgamation of choruses and chronicles alike, St. Humain’s latest offering “Tastes Like You” comes to life. Blurring the lines between fantasy and reality, his newest single explores the infatuation of jealousy, and the numbing desire to let it go.

Bought to life by an unsuspecting Instagram swipe, St. Humain confides, “I had a little crush on her and saw on Instagram that she was hanging out with another guy and naturally — I began to be jealous, and maybe this is my toxic trait but I started imagining a whole scenario where they were literally going to get married. Turns out they were truly platonic housemates, but the feeling stuck. It’s the lingering afterburn of jealousy/longing that hurt, and trying to drown it out by drinking had zero effect.”

Entirely self-written, produced and performed by St. Humain himself, this latest offering showcases his remarkable ability to bridge sonic boundaries and bring his intoxicating fables to life. As he sings, “He’s got that better smile, he’s thinking ring and aisle, but I’m still here sipping whisky but it tastes like you”, St. Humain’s narratives offer a resonating introspection like no other. “Tastes Like You” unravels into true pop perfection, soaring melodies and a pulsing bassline that perfectly depict the enthralling emotion that he strives to deliver across his repertoire. With a blissful blend of melancholy and metaphors alike, there’s no doubt that this single will continue to soar in success.
