Anthony Green on Friday released what is perhaps his most personal album, Boom. Done.

The emotional, very introspective 10-track release, which is also incredibly empowering, finds the Circa Survive and Saosin looking inward and reflecting on a very trying and complicated journey over the past few years, including a relapse and overdose in which he says he died momentarily. He has previously been forthcoming about his struggles with addiction, but he was also recently diagnosed with bipolar disorder, something he has also subsequently shared with fans as he recognized the importance of mental health.

"The alienating part of it is that you don’t want to tell people, you don’t want to put it on them,” he said in an interview last year. “But it’s also an arrogant thing because without knowing, I want people to think I’m all good so they trust me and so I feel all good—but that’s dangerous and the more I do that the more it’s like I’m hiding.”

In a note accompanying the album's release, Green said: "Making this album almost killed me and also saved my life. It is with great honor and pride that I release Boom. Done. into the world."

In support of the new album, Green will also be playing a number of shows in August and September. See the full dates here.
