Local Natives are back with new music!
The band on Friday shared a double A-side single of "Desert Snow" and "Hourglass," both new tracks coming ahead of their North American tour, which is their first in three years, as well as their performance next weekend at Lollapalooza in Chicago.
According to the group, "Desert Snow" was inspired by a trip to Joshua Tree and is about "the duality of vulnerability and strength; both relying on the person you love and being someone they can rely on." Meanwhile, "Hourglass" is said to explore the "difficulty of feeling divided and isolated from the people we love while knowing the time we have with them is finite."
They add of the latter, which was produced by John Congleton: "This got us through really difficult times and reminded us how much joy we get out of playing music together."
