Newcomer Phebe Starr on Friday released her breathtaking debut album, and it's our newest Must-Hear record.

The Australian singer shines brightly on the wonderful 11-track album, titled Heavy Metal Flower Petal, which comes ahead of a busy week for the rising artist, who will be performing at SXSW this coming week, taking part in the Austin festival's first in-person edition in three years.

Her new album is a very personal effort, reflective of writing in the wake of having divorced the man she married at 21. It's vulnerable, gritty and powerful, showcasing not only mesmerizing vocals but illuminating songwriting.
