On Thursday, singer-songwriter Shane Toriscelli (simply known as Shane T) released his new Night Drive EP, and it's definitely worth the listen.

We can't get enough of the project, which nods to the New York City-based singer's religious upbringing, literally in the first moments of the first song (for those of us Righteous Gemstones fans, it hits the right vibe), while expounding on various life struggles such as loneliness and heartbreak.

“When you grow up in the church and then grow out of the church, the insanity of certain aspects of it quickly become clear," he says.

The new EP comes just as Shane T will be hitting the road this week with Ritt Momney on a 27-date North American trek, which starts Friday in Salt Lake City.
