Luke Fenstemaker

It's been quite the journey, but as of today, FINNEAS has released his debut album.

Perhaps fittingly titled Optimist, the record arrived Friday via Interscope Records. Made up of 13 tracks, it includes previously released standouts such as "A Concert Six Months From Now" and "What They'll Say About Us." It was written and produced entirely by FINNEAS.

While FINNEAS has spent the last few years happily supporting his sister Billie Eilish, co-writing and producing her two solo albums, the events of 2020 allowed him to go back to Los Angeles and lockdown working on new music, including what would become his own album.

“As a producer-artist, you never give yourself enough time to work on your own music," he says. "Unfortunately, nobody is going to boss me around and tell me to produce my own album except me."

Coinciding with today's release, FINNEAS has also shared a video for his song "Love Is Pain," directed by Sam Bennett.
