After just a few days' notice, J. Cole's new album The Off-Season has arrived.

The new set was released Friday, a little more than a week after the East Coast rapper first announced its existence. Last Friday (May 7), he shared the first song "i n t e r l u d e," after first tweeting he had intended to just "drop the album all at once" on May 14.

The Off-Season is the followup to Cole's 2018 album KOD, his latest project to go platinum. And as with that record, this new one maintains J. Cole's longstanding commitment to having no features on the album.
