Michael Nelson (aka BANNERS) is back with new music—and he seems to be right back in his sweet spot.

His new single "If I Didn't Have You" arrived Friday, and it's a sweeping anthem, bursting with raw emotion anchored by an incredibly infectious hook. The song is the first from BANNERS' upcoming EP, which is expected to be released this spring.

"This pandemic should serve as a reminder of what we are all capable of individually and as a collective," says Nelson. "We've all looked after one another, kept each other going. It's shown me what's important and what isn't. The things that I could live without and the things I truly need that maybe I didn't appreciate properly. The people, the hugs, the kisses.
