Another Variance favorite is back with new music this week. New Zealand outfit LEISURE on Friday released their new song "Lonely Nights."
The summery new track, which actually arrives as the country emerges from its winter season and heads into warmer days, is a welcome dose of sunshine, and it's a preview of the band's upcoming Side A EP, which they'll release on Oct. 30.
“The video for 'Lonely Nights' was inspired by our time writing music in Paris last year," the band says. "We were big fans of (animator / director) Jack Brown’s work and when the opportunity came to collaborate we were excited—the tempo and feel of the song is a strutting late-70s rhythm but when Jack went and flipped it to this trippy, floaty boat cruise vibe it was a super cool balance and keeps things leisurely.”
