New Zealand artist Eddie Johnston (aka Lontalius) is kicking off the weekend with the release of his new single "Someone Will Be There For You."

The tender, emotional new track is out today via Kartel. The new song follows his 2019 project All I Have and it's his first release of 2020, a showcase of his delicate vocals with minimal production and an acoustic guitar accompaniment. 

"I'd started writing new songs at the tail end of 2019, and it was bugging me that I kept writing things that felt so insular and diary entry-like," says Johnston. "Someone certainly isn't a step too far away from that, but it was me forcing myself to write something for everyone else. I've spent so many weeks of my life feeling like there is nothing and no one out there, feeling like the weight of the world was on my own shoulders. But it's true, someone will be there for you!"
