As New York City slowly comes back to life, newcomer Drew Lucas, who is based in the city, is teasing his upcoming debut EP with his infectious new single "Ave A," which happens to be the title track.

It's a preview of the NYU Clive Davis Institute of Recorded Music alum's self-produced EP, which Lucas describes as "a series of microscopic stories that reveal a sense of beauty within the mundanity of ordinary life."

According to Lucas, who finds his sound somewhere between James Blake and Clairo, the EP is also a tribute to the East Village's Ave A and the many nights he has spent walking it home, some nights surrounded by friends and others just alone with his thoughts, some nights terrified of the world and others admiring everything he passed by.
