Emerging singer-songwriter Cody Lovaas has a new EP out today. Pull Out Couch, emotional, summery new five-song project includes his Rozes collaboration "OH NO!," a balmy effort which showcases Lovaas' vocal prowess as well as his confessional songwriting ability.
"'OH NO!' is about a girl who was the perfect excuse for me to act like an idiot," says Lovaas. "This is the classic and cliché story about the guy who ignored the little dude talking on his shoulder and muted his inner voice."
Speaking about the full EP, which is out now, he says: "From love that tried to withstand geographical struggles, to a 21-year-old trying to figure himself out, to a five-year-long cat-and-mouse relationship, I wrote all these songs when I first moved to Los Angeles, sleeping on my manager's pull out couch."
The new project follows Lovaas' 2019 EP Honestly, with both EPs displaying his knack for soulful, stirring performances.
