Earlier this year, Variance favorite Nightly shared their glossy new track "the movies." Now, they've shared a "reprise" of the infectious song, now featuring their friend and collaborator Charli Adams.

The new rendition follows the now-trio's recent headlining tour as well as their recent signing with BMG to release their future material.

"'the movies' is just a vibe for three straight minutes," says singer Jonathan Capeci. "We wanted this to be a soundtrack for people. Something you can put on that instantly takes you to another place, even from the first note."

According to Capeci, Adams' addition was the result of a phone call during their tour. "I called Charli and she was into the idea," he says, explaining they wrote the lyrics to her verse over the phone.
