Norwegian rapper Eivind Øygarden (better known as Ivan Ave) is back with another winner. His new single "Phone Won't Charge" arrived over the weekend and it only furthers the momentum of his previous track "Triple Double Love," which he released last month.

Flush with Anderson .Paak undertones and a summer-ready vibe, this new track is Ivan at his fullest, showcasing his immense prowess and the ability to present his skillset without overdoing it. It's the latest preview of his upcoming Double Goodbyes, which is expected in April.

"In the last summer months of recording the album, I spent a couple weeks with a phone that wouldn't charge properly," says Ivan Ave. "I later identified my charger as the problem. Anyway, being cut off from the constant stream of information we now call reality, allowed for this song to emerge. Circular themes in my life became more apparent, as they do every now and again, in cyclical patterns. The trick is to notice them, which I probably wouldn't have if my phone was working all summer."

As we previously mentioned, the upcoming album is said to offer a very eclectic sound, as he diverts aways from his past sample-heavy material to producing the majority of the record himself.
