Swedish artist-producer STRØM is off to a strong start this year, having released his two standout tracks "Last Try" and "Mermaid." And today, he has released his incredible debut album Immortal.

Surprisingly, prior to last month's release of "Last Try," STRØM hadn't put out any material outside of his 2017 debut "Mesmerize," which was born out of a track he composed for BMW commercial and later fleshed out into a full song.

"Immortal is a conceptual album inspired by the world of mythology, within a fiction verus reality perspective." says STRØM, who grew up on Värmdö, an island off the coast of Stockholm, where he began experimenting with musical instruments around age 7.

With the release of the new record, it's clear STRØM has a massive future ahead of him, as Immortal is emblematic of his immense production and songwriting skills.

To celebrate today's release, STRØM is also giving Variance a track-by-track breakdown of the new album. Check it out and hear the full record above.

1. Solar Sailor
An intro track with a bit of "working class hero” theme. It also has a few Star Wars references that you'll catch if you pay attention.

2. Mermaid
My favorite track on the album. It's inspired by the old folk tales from One Thousand and One Nights. When I finished this one it was quite clear in what direction the album was heading.

3. Shay-Ling
I’ve sampled so many things on this track that it’s no where close to being legal.

4. Jyn
Wrote this one together with swedish duo Rebecca & Fiona. Two mad geniuses that I love working with. Fiona's voice sounds biblical.

5. Dynamo
Probably as close to pop that I will ever get.

6. Fox God
Interlude.

7. Last Try
A classic love song.

8. Blurred Out
The sound of a creative overload. And to be honest, the demo was even weirder.

9. Mesmerize
Originally composed for a BMW commercial in 2017. The response was so huge that I decided to release it on Soundcloud, and that’s where it took off. Without this song this album never would’ve existed.
