Parker Day

Well, how's this for your Wednesday? Stephen Bruner (aka Thundercat) just shared new music!

He dropped his new song "Black Qualls" today, and it's actually a preview of his next album, It Is What It Is, which is coming April 3 via Brainfeeder Records. The song features Steve Lacy and Steve Arrington, who are among a number of the album's collaborations, including Ty Dolla $ign, Childish Gambino, Lil B, Kamasi Washington, BADBADNOTGOOD and more.

"This album is about love, loss, life and the ups and downs that come with that," says Bruner of the new record. "It’s a bit tongue-in-cheek, but at different points in life you come across places that you don’t necessarily understand… some things just aren’t meant to be understood."

Hear the new song below.
