On Friday, Selena Gomez released her long-anticipated new album RARE. And it's perhaps some of her best work yet.
The new record, which includes her first-ever No. 1 song "Lose You to Love Me," follows a rocky season in the singer's life. And it shows in the material, as she pulls back the curtains and gives listeners a very up-close and vulnerable look at her life. In fact, one of the songs is called "Vulnerable," co-written and produced by Jon Bellion.
“RARE represents a look into my journey of healing and growth,” says Gomez of the new record. “It’s by far the work I am most proud of to date.”
The full record features co-writing collaborations from Julia Michaels and Justin Tranter, both of whom contributed to multiple songs including "Lose You," along with Bebe Rhexa, who co-wrote a song featuring 6LACK. Kid Cudi appears on album closer "A Sweeter Place," one of the LP's standouts.
In addition to the new album, Gomez over the weekend released a video for the title track.
