Electro-pop artist WESLEY today releases a vibrant pulsating feel-good anthem. Entitled “Long Way Home," the track showcases diverse samples atop WESLEY’s honeyed vocal tone and energetic soundscapes. The song is a collaboration with artist and producer Denny White (Julia Michaels, Tiesto, Ryan Tedder, Lukas Graham) and details the importance of taking a little time for yourself.
With lyrics like, “Tonight I take the long way home. I’m off the grid all on my own,” he’s expressing the need to disconnect from the world and exist by himself. WESLEY admits, "We live in such a hectic world we often times forget to take a second to be present with ourselves. Sometimes you just need to go off the GPS and take the Long Way Home".
WESLEY (aka Anthony Anderson) is a Minnesota native currently residing in sunny Los Angeles. For years he juggled with a 9-5 job while pursuing music, but as his passion for singing grew he focused solely on his craft. Evoking a vibe of Troye Sivan and Post Malone his music erupts with 808's and colorful electrifying synths. Fusing his deep raspy vocals with sampled instrumentals, his positive up-tempo tune inspires others through self-love and acceptance.
With the aim to motivate others to take a chance WESLEY advocates, “You really never know what will come of it. I think it’s a testament to words in the songs, the people I’ve been able to work with and meet that if you just take a chance you might surprise yourself”. Check out “Long Way Home” and remember the value of reflection and self-care.
