Emerging duo Jordan Toohey and Erika Toohey (aka HOFFEY) is heading into the weekend with brand new music.

The Vancouver-based pair is releasing their new song "Alive" on Friday, but it's premiering today on Variance. The glowing cut follows their debut single "Love Is Wild," which was released last summer. And it comes ahead of a yet-to-be-announced tour and EP, both expected this fall.

"Our new track ‘Alive’ is about a relationship between two people who are constantly going back and forth through good and bad seasons," says HOFFEY of the new song. "No matter what, through thick and thin, they always end up together.

According to the duo, which met while studying abroad in Sydney, Australia, they wrote the new song in their home studio while just jamming chords and ideas for melodies. It was partly inspired by their own relationship while adding the perspective of a couple who "couldn't live without each other."
