Emerging artist Alex Harris is heading into the weekend with a brand new project to celebrate.

The Texas R&B crooner has released his debut Pink Cloud EP, which arrived Friday via Red Music/Epic. It's an impressive first release from the Atlanta-based singer, who wrote and co-produced the EP alongside Nathaniel "Nature" Jones and executive producer Damian Clarke.

"The process of creating Pink Cloud allowed me to explore my own vulnerabilities as an artist, and a person," says Harris. "This project reflects the realities of my life--the good, bad, and ugly. I used experiences from my own life and those close to me to create an EP in which I believe everyone can connect and relate. I'm just happy to have made it through those times and to have the opportunity to share my music with the world."

While it's only five tracks, it serves as a welcome appetizer, with Harris showing a more vulnerable side of himself on the simmering opener "5 Miles," while demonstrating an Anderson .Paak-like flow on the spirited "Top Five."
