The East Coast is cold and dreary today. The Midwest is gray and rainy. And even Los Angeles is supposed to dip into the 40s tonight.

It's perfect weather to curl up underneath a warm blanket and get lost in newcomer Arran George's intoxicating new track "Half Awake." The demo cut arrived this week as a preview of his upcoming What I See On Latenight TV EP, which is the followup to his recent debut What I See On Daytime TV EP.

"It’s about being a lotus eater, half awake and useless," George says of the new song. "It can take so long to realise you’re throwing away everything for nothing at all."
