As expected, J. Cole has dropped new music.

He released his new song "Middle Child" on Wednesday night. He had teased new material on Tuesday when he wiped his Instagram feed, frequently seen as a signal an artist might be about to release new music or make an announcement.

On the new track, Cole alludes to conversations he has had with the likes of Jay-Z, Drake and others. It comes as he is teasing a new Dreamville compilation project, Revenge of the Dreamers III. A press release promises an "unstoppable year" for the imprint, confirming a new Cole album is also "forthcoming." His last album KOD only arrived last April.
