New weekend, new music from POP ETC.

The pop-rock outfit, helmed by Chris Chu, on Friday released their electric new single "Broken Record," the latest in their ongoing "Infinite Singles Collection." It comes ahead of the trio's new album Half, which will be released physically in Japan and digitally worldwide on Oct. 3.

“Time has been moving in strange ways lately and everyone seems to be talking about how surreal life is these days," says Chu about the new song. "It's a roller coaster, and occasionally it's monotonous at the same time. I can never seem to make sense of the rhythm, like a reoccurring dream that always ends a little too soon."

Meanwhile, the forthcoming album takes its inspiration in part from Chu and his brother's heritage, having both a Chinese father and American mother. It's about "different aspects of our own identity," the singer says.
