Pharrell Williams closed out his 41st birthday by performing on Saturday Night Live, joining host Anna Kendrick.

Williams first performed his mega-hit "Happy" of course, joined by a stage full of dancers who were quite possibly all up past their bedtimes, courtesy of bloc talent agency and choreographer Fatima Robinson.

He later performed "Marilyn Monroe" with help from Hans Zimmer and his orchestra. Near the end of the show, he appeared in a sketch in which he is holding auditions for a backup singer. The scene seemed fitting for Williams, who will join The Voice this fall as a coach.
