It's finally here.

After teasing new music last week, MGMT has released their new single "Little Dark Age," the title track for their upcoming album.

The song arrived Tuesday with an accompanying set of visuals, directed by David MacNutt and Nathaniel Axel. The clip follows the band's Andrew VanWyngarden and Ben Goldwasser dressed in flamboyant gothic attire while being "stalked by the figure of Death."

As we previously mentioned, the duo had first promised to "re-dominate your mind hole" in 2016, hinting at a record last year. But they then revised their plans and said 2017 would be the year. They spent the first part of this year performing a handful of festivals, including Beale Street Music Festival in Memphis, where they first debuted "Little Dark Age" live back in May.

Their upcoming fourth album doesn't yet have a release date, but it is expected in early 2018. It was self-produced by the band alongside Patrick Wimberly (formerly of Chairlift) and their longtime collaborator Dave Fridmann, who produced the band's 2013 self-titled album and their 2007 debut Oracular Spectacular.
