While Nasim Pedrad's run on Saturday Night Live was defined by a handful of characters including Kim Kardashian, the actress told Conan O'Brien this week there was at least one additional parody she pushed for throughout her tenure.

Before showing an unaired clip of her impersonating Parks and Recreation's Aziz Ansari, Pedrad said she constantly lobbied for the chance to play him.

"The producers were always like, 'Hey, what about this week you play a pretty gal?' And I was like 'Or, what if I play another small man?'" she recalled.

Pedrad—whose new show, Mulaney, debuts this month on Fox—also described the first time she actually met Kardashian, who she says questioned whether she really sounds the SNL version.

Although it's unknown why Pedrad's Ansari spoof was cut before air, it's possible it may have been considered offensive because of the actress' "brownface" makeup. Nonetheless, the clip can still be seen below.
