After sharing their new single "Sadness Disease," Stockholm's Urban Cone has revealed the corresponding video.

The song is the first single off the indie-rock quartet's forthcoming album, expected next year on Astralwerks, which follows their vocal contributions to Porter Robinson's recent single "Lionhearted."

Directed by Kirke Ailio Rodwell, the video for the perky track deals with imperfections and the pressure to live up to unrealistic perceptions of beauty.

“‘Sadness Disease’ is about the psychological damage of trying to attain the idealized version of beauty and perfection that exists today,” the band's Emil Gustafsson said of the video. “It’s something that both men and women experience ... If you look at the single art it’s right there – huge lips, huge eyes, cut and pasted together to create perfection. But what you’re actually left with is not beauty, it’s distortion.”
