In the Country Music Awards' latest effort to appeal to a demographic other than older-skewing white folks, the ceremony featured an unusual combination of Little Big Town with Ariana Grane for a countrified rendition of "Bang Bang," the latter's collaboration with Jessie J and Nicki Minaj.

While seemingly left field, thanks to LBT's female half of vocalists Karen Fairchild and Kimberly Schlapman, it wasn't much of a diversion from the original (minus Minaj's rap portion, of course).

Outside of the country world, Meghan Trainor performed a ridiculous version of "All About That Bass" with Miranda Lambert, while Steven Tyler presented the Single of the Year award, which went to Lambert.
