The Walking Dead will return for its seventh season at 9 p.m. EST on Oct. 23, AMC revealed Friday at Comic-Con in San Diego.
Further details regarding which character might have died in the finale were not revealed, but the first trailer for the 16-episode season is expected to be released this afternoon as well.
As in previous seasons, the seventh installment of the zombie juggernaut will once again be split between the fall and spring, with the second half likely returning in February, although AMC has not yet confirmed the official date.
