Saturday Night Live returned to live episodes this week with host Woody Harrelson (The Hunger Games: Mockingjay - Part 1) and Kendrick Lamar, the latter of whom is performing ahead of an anticipated new album.

Lamar performed his lead single "i" for his first segment. Opting not to use his second slot to promote new music, he instead plugged fellow TDE signee Jay Rock's recent single "Pay for It," of which he is featured on alongside Canadian singer-songwriter Chantal.

Lamar also appeared in a hilarious sketch for a celebrity duets album, pairing up with a parody version of Barry Manilow. Other awkward duet teams included Ariana Grande with Lionel Richie; Macklemore with Diana Ross; Meghan Trainor with B.B. King; Robyn with Aretha Franklin; and Sam Smith with James Taylor.
