Following Friday's release of his new album Blank Face, ScHoolboy Q on Monday revealed the final installment of his three-part visual series, this time a video for "Black THougHts."
The emotional clip finds the rapper's character heading for prison after a robbery, thus leaving his daughter behind, symbolic of Q's dedication to his child in real life, recently admitting he almost quit music to focus on his family.
ScHoolboy Q has acknowledged the unfortunate timing of his album's release, which followed a week of tragedy after the deaths of Alton Sterling and Philando Castile at the hands of police and the subsequent attacks in Dallas, which left five officers dead and multiple victims injured during a protest.
When a fan tweeted at the MC that he loved the album but "can't even enjoy it" because of recent events, he lamented that "on a day I'm supposed 2 Happy I'm sitting Here fucked up about everytHing goin on myself."
