The city of Cesena, Italy, really wants the Foo Fighters come perform. So much so that 1,000 fans rallied together and performed a massive cover of the band's "Learn to Fly" in hopes that Dave Grohl and Co. might feel inspired to make the trek.

It cost about 44,000 euros (or nearly $50,000) in crowdfunding to organize the stunt in an effort to bring the Foo Fighters back to the region for the first time since 1997.

Upon seeing the video, the Foo Fighters tweeted, "Che bello, Cesena," which translates to "How beautiful, Cesena." At press time, the band has not confirmed whether or not they will make their way to Italy, where they clearly have some dedicated fans.

Update: Foo Fighters have responded again via Twitter, this time suggesting they will perform in Italy. "Ci vediamo a presto, Cesena," they said late Thursday evening. In English: "See you soon, Cesena."
