Timothy Thedford (aka Jay Electronica) appears to be following in Meek Mill's footsteps, having recently taken aim at Drake and J. Cole, declaring himself "the god" of hip-hop.
His comments came during his show last Thursday (Aug. 13) at London's XOYO, where he told the audience: “Jay Electronica is the God of Hip-Hop. You might be the 6 God, but I am The God. I’m sorry but J. Cole ain’t got bars like this. I’m sorry, whoever your favorite rapper is, they all know that I’m the God."
The claims come as Jay has been teasing an album for years, although such a set has yet to materialize. Therefore, it's likely this latest stint is simply an attempt to grab some free press. Because, hey, it worked for Meek Mill—although he has an album to promote.
