Gentlemen: Is your upper lip looking a little more dainty than you'd like? In honor of what's become known as "Movember," actor Nick Offerman (known to many as Parks and Recreation's Ron Swanson) is giving men some "advice" on growing a healthy moustache, speaking from experience of course.
While the video itself is of a humorous vain, Movember has become an annual event to bring awareness to men's health. Many are familiar with such rituals as "No Shave November," a month-long period in which participants opt out of shaving. Although Movember also takes place during the same month, the idea is for men to maintain their best possible moustache with support and fundraising from friends and family. Funds raised during the month go to support such initiatives as prostate and testicular cancer research.
In 2011, over 854,000 "Mo Bros" and "Mo Sistas" came together in support of these causes. Together they raised $126.3 million.
For more information on Movember, go to their website. Offerman can be seen on Parks and Rec every Thursday on NBC.
