In May, Aminé and KAYTRANADA teamed up and released their first collaborative project as KAYTRAMINÉ. 

But they didn't just leave it at that. They also announced a handful of shows together. This month, they've begun playing the very selective number of performances, including the first show in Montreal, Kaytranada's hometown, as well as their show this past weekend in Portland, Oregon, from which Aminé hails.

According to both Aminé and KAYTRANADA, their joint project has been almost a decade in the making, following Aminé's "Not At All" in 2014, which included a bootleg remix of KAYTRANADA's own 2013 track "At All." After hearing the song, Kay reached out and offered to collaborative "officially," and as a result he produced three songs from Aminé's 2015 Calling Brio mixtape.

Our photographer Tojo Andrianarivo was on hand to capture the magic of the very special Portland show, which was followed by a Chicago show on Tuesday night (Sept. 12), and two upcoming performances, on Thursday (Sept. 14) at the Brooklyn Mirage in New York and the final show on Saturday (Sept. 16) at the Greek Theatre in Los Angeles.
