beabadoobee in 'Talk' video

beabadoobee is back with new music, and we can't get enough.

In confirming a new album, she has just shared an addictive new single "Talk," a wonderful pop-punk confection inspired by the things you can't help but indulge in, even if they're a little bit bad for you. It's from her upcoming sophomore album Beatopia (pronounced Bay-A-Toe-Pee-Uh), which is out July 15 via Dirty Hit Records.

The song is accompanied by a thrilling video directed by Alexandra Leese and Luke Casey, featuring bea alongside 150 of her biggest fans as well as members of her close circle of friends. It's kind of the perfect vibe for these complicated, strange times as we head into summer.

“I wrote ‘Talk’ just after my first album," says beabadoobee. "I was obsessed with Tuesday because I thought it was the best night to go out, not too much chaos but just enough to have a good time. Generally, it’s about doing things that aren’t necessarily healthy or great for you, but you can’t help indulging. It’s like that unavoidable feeling that you get. You can’t get rid of it, and you know it’s bad, but you love it really, and it's whatever, so you do it anyways.”

The new music follows beabadoobee's 2021 Our Extended Play EP, which was co-written with and produced by Matty Healy and George Daniel of The 1975, as well as her recent Cavetown collaboration "Fall In Love With A Girl," which was released last month.

In addition to her run supporting Halsey's upcoming arena tour, beabadoobee will also play her own headline shows as well as dates opening for Bleachers on the East Coast.
