Zachary Williams in 'Game for Guessing' video

Zachary Williams of The Lone Bellow has announced his first solo record, and he kicked things off today with his incredible single "Game for Guessing."

It's the first preview of the album Dirty Camaro, which is coming Oct. 22 via Dualtone Records, and features some Variance favorites, such as Robert Ellis, who co-produced the record alongside Josh Block. The album also features Anderson East, Ashley Monroe, John Paul White, Thad Cockrell and more.

"It’s an ode to me and everyone else like me who’s pretty self involved, pretty confused, and pretty hopeful that maybe we’re actually good inside," says Williams. "It’s a confession that I don’t know what I’m doing, a song about that razor sharp line that we walk between being a competent, but self involved person, and being a person that’s on the verge of losing their mind at any given second."

He adds: "The first time Robert Ellis heard me sing this song he started dying laughing and said, 'I can relate'... and maybe we all can."

For fans of Ellis, Williams further plays with a lot of similar big, charismatic energy, which is on full display in the exuberant video directed by Debbie Ewing. It's a perfect companion piece and it really brings Williams' "character" to life.
