As the summer of reopening (sort of) continues, it was Wrigley Field up to bat on Sunday night (pun absolutely intended) as the trio of Green Day, Fall Out Boy and Weezer brought their Hella Mega Tour to the Windy City.

The sold-out show marked the first concert at the home of the Cubs since mid-2019, in the pre-pandemic days which seem like a lifetime ago.

For many fans, the show on Sunday follows months of waiting, after the Hella Mega Tour was initially announced almost two years ago and was scheduled to kick off just as Covid-19 began to spread globally, forcing the live music industry (including the Hella Mega Tour) to scrap plans almost instantly. Even as recently as earlier this month, Fall Out Boy missed a few days of the tour because of Covid case in their ranks.

Beyond Chicago, the tour has remaining stops in Philadelphia, Minneapolis, San Francisco, Los Angeles, Seattle and more, with a European leg set for next year.
