On the first Thursday of July, joan is keeping their promise to release a new song each first Thursday of the month until the end of the year.

Today, they shared their new song "come over," which is from hi, the first of two EPs out later this year (titled hi and bye, of course). As we previously mentioned, the companion projects will each tell a story about the beginning and ending of a relationship, respectively.

"While writing 'come over' this song seemed to kind of just fall into our laps," says the duo. "Every decision we made while writing and producing the song just felt natural and right for the song. We just HAD to put slap bass in there and we just HAD to put strings in bridge, and we just HAD to shoot the music video on VHS broadcasting equipment from the '90s!"
