Hailed as "one of the greatest MCs in the world," Eminem received the Global Icon Award at the MTV European Music Awards on Sunday.

After being recognized for the exclusive award, the rapper took the stage and performed "Berzerk," the lead single off his new record, the Marshall Mathers LP 2. Surrounded by a roaring crowd, which included Ellie Goulding and Rita Ora in the audience clearly enjoying themselves, Em followed with "Rap God," sending the audience into a frenzy.

Eminem also walked away with the award for Best Hip-Hop Act.
