Indie electro rock three-piece Jimkata have been friends since middle school and really possess a strong bond. Band members Evan Friedell, Aaron Gorsch and Packy Lunn have concocted an eccentric sound that pulls listeners in with their catchy pop hooks and personal lyrics. Their latest single “Wait For You” is an infectious rock anthem with vibrant synths and zealous vocals and details a feeling of restlessness as you wait for answers within the uncertainty.

Singer Evan Friedell reveals, "I didn’t realize at the time I wrote it how prescient and universal that feeling would become as we experience a global pandemic and a world in chaos." Created by Ben Clarkson, the animated video displays a person who continuously sits and waits as time just passes him by. Though the song’s message is one of heartbreak, it also speaks to the problems we are all facing today as we sit back and wait for the world to change.

Taking a two and a half year break, Jimkata has returned renewed, creating colorful, upbeat music for their loyal fan base. Constructing a unique brand of hard-hitting rock that is modern yet nostalgic, it is their masterful storytelling paired with their infectious beats that have listeners hooked.
