Back in April, British newcomer Childe released his debut single "Bad Ideas." Now, he's back with a new song called "Just Me," accompanied by an animated video created by Alexis Giroux (aka Oodnuf).

“‘Just Me’ is about loneliness and feeling isolated in a busy world,” says Childe. “Fake friends and false conversations. I need to make sure I’m around the people who know me best or I can really lose it.”

For his part, Giroux says: “The song made me think about the moon, so I thought it would be cool to tell a story about the moon and the sun confronting each other. It's also about transformation which I think reflects the song nicely.”

Taking inspiration from the likes of Tracey Chapman and Bright Eyes, Childe is also an alum of the BRIT school in London, whose previous alumni include the likes of Adele, FKA twigs, Amy Winehouse and others.

The new video comes along with news of Childe's debut EP, which is expected to arrive early next year.
