Singer-songwriter Sam Valdez is taking back power and changing the narrative in her latest single "Toothache."

Highlighting lush, dreamy vocals and gentle rock soundscapes, the reflective track details rediscovering your sense of self after a breakup. The intimate visuals showcase stunning shots of Valdez soaking up the Los Angeles sun.

The singer confides: "For the video we borrowed this old car and shot around Echo Park in L.A. I wanted to shoot in my apartment and around my neighborhood because the song is really personal and I wanted it to feel like the experience I was having."

Fusing a rich blend of shoegaze, Americana and indie-rock, Valdez possesses a uniquely haunting and inventive quality.  Growing up in Nevada, the desert landscape has influenced her sound profoundly with her music evoking a similar vastness and sparsity. Valdez has seen success as an opener for sold out tours with artists including  Stella Donnelly and Giant Rooks.
