Future Islands are back with their first new music in three years.

The band, led by Samuel T. Herring, returned Wednesday with their new song "For Sure," which the band had been teasing since last week when they updated their social media channels and shared a teaser on Facebook.

The new track arrives with an accompanying video created by Sam Mason, charting a long journey through a haunting post-apocalyptic world. It was written and recorded in the band's hometown of Baltimore.

While it's unclear if this new music means a new album is on the way, that would seem likely. The band's last album was 2017's The Far Field, while Herring released a new Hemlock Ernst record last year.
