Gavin Haley in '2FU' video

Back in March, Gavin Haley shared his song "Tati," featuring Yung Pinch. Now he's back with a solo track called "2FU," which is an acronym for "Too Fucked Up."

The song is openly an intimate look at the singer's personal struggles with drugs and mental health. The track has a sort of pop, hip-hop vibe in the vein of Russ or Jon Bellion, as Haley reflects on his past with candidness. "Can't be there for you, I'm barely here for me," he sings, which is essentially the crux of the story.

"In 2018, I didn't leave my apartment for like that whole year, besides to go to the studio and get food," he says. "I was just in another world, dealing with health problems. I felt so isolated from everything, but I didn't have the energy to be there for anyone but myself, not even close friends. '2FU' is inspired by that time in my life, and the feeling of being stuck somewhere."

The video, which sees Haley walking along a desolated desert highway while cleansing himself with sage, also arrives today.
