Jack Garratt in 'Better' video

Back in February, Jack Garratt returned with his single "Time," with his first new music in four years. And today he's following up with his new song "Better."

The soaring new track arrives with an accompanying video as well as two additional songs “Get In My Way” and “Mend A Heart.” They follow the previously released "Time" as well as "Mara" and "Return Them to the One." This is the latest preview of his upcoming sophomore album Love, Death & Dancing, which is coming June 12 (it had originally been expected on May 29).

According to the singer, he nearly quit music after his first album, as a result of the swelling pressure and criticism following his success. Premiering the new music Wednesday on Annie Mac's BBC Radio 1 show, he explained winning many of the same accolades as Adele and Sam Smith made him feel uncomfortable and unworthy of being lumped in with big stars, further boosting his anxiety and self-hatred.

As we previously mentioned, Garratt also said he spent a year recording an entire new album and then scrapped it. "It was trash. It was awful. It was all bad," he said. "I wasn't willing to accept myself in that moment, so I wasn't willing to have a good idea."
